CCTC Friend Stevedore Co., Ltd. (CCFC) was established in 1997 as a subsidiary company of CCTC to provide services in the harbor business industry. CCFC immediately received a stevedoring business permit from The Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau after its founding. The permit grant helped positioned the newly established CCFC as a reliable company which later successfully acquired business from well-know shipping companies such as OOCL, APL, and MAERSK.      In 1998, CCFC had begun to run the same stevedore operation at Keelung Port with a permit from The Keelung Harbor Bureau. A local branch office was set-up to better serve its clientele from the northern parts of Taiwan. Additionally, in 2001, CCFC entered a lease agreement with Taichung Harbor Bureau for exclusive usage of Wharf 9, 10, 11, and facilities including marshalling yard, container yard, CFS, M&R shop, and five sets of quay side gantry cranes. The exclusive wharf usage has made CCFC the only container terminal operator to run three container wharves at the port of Taichung and to provide customers a superior stevedoring service experience.
